Finally posting some side projects :)

This is the birthday card I made for my moms birthday. I cut out an image from a book and glued it to a piece of decorative paper. Then i took a book page and colored a section with water color pencils so I could cut them out in the shape of party hats. I glued them to the tops of the head and added a bead of glue and glitter for the pom pom on top. Then I took a brown ink pad and inked the whole thing (being careful of the image itself) to make it vintage-ish and just all around different. She loved it!

When I googled how to paint abstract I came across http://www.art-is-fun.com/how-to-paint-abstract-art.html and I painted this! I gave it to my mom for Christmas and now everyone wants one! Easy to do and easy to please

New Post! Took me long enough :)

My best friend Kate was offered a real job today as a real life nurse, so I made this for her. I was inspired to find a vintage nurse image (one preferably not as creepy as others Ive seen. Kate hates the creepy ones haha) . Then I found the wings and glues them on and added a little glitter to the outsides. Then I wanted it to be something she could hang so I took some watercolor paper ( it was the only heavy thing I had for a backround) and used a mixture of water and elmers glue to glue the pages of books to the back of it. I punched a hole and glued the nurse on. I cut out the words from a book and glued them onto the nurse image. It needed something else so i took some water color pencils and another part of a ripped book and colored it in. Used some colored hemp and voila!

Our Town Card

Here is the card I made for my director opening night of Our Town at Mira Costa. These are the kinds of cards I want to make. My friend Mary gave me the materials she wanted to use and said how she wanted the card to look and I made it for her. I would love to make custom greeting cards. Like Ace of Cakes but Ace of Cards haha.

The first of many blogs

This is very exciting. I made my first blog, my first header and I'm joining the artistic community of bloggers. I can't wait to get started on my cards and show them off and hopefully sell a few. This post is going to be very boring but it's just to start me off in the right direction.

Well, how am I doing so far?
